"Happy
summer 2023"
According to tradition, the
male choir Gaasehud was to end the spring season with an intimate
concert at Fiskebrygga. Coincidentally, the European Conference on
Information Systems (ECIS) had put its event in the same place. At the
same time.
So these international IT people were lucky
and got a few songs from the male choir along with them in there further
work.
 But first
some real Norwegian apple juice.
 We sang "Æ
ser dæ på Markens i kveld" from the brigde
 when a
boat carrying what looked like the management of the conference came by
and docked..
 The
conference participants relaxed in the sun and listened to the choir.
 Some
probably had problems understanding the lyrics, but the music is
international.
Among the audience, the mobile factor was
high and quite a few meters of video were taken. Or gigabytes...
 It
was a nice evening. Here we are doing "Eg vil ikkje dø"/"I
don't want to die"
 And
we ended with "Landkjenning"/"Land recognition".
The European Conference on
Information Systems (ECIS) is the main conference of the
Association of Information systems in Region 2, encompassing
Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. It is considered one of the
most prestigious gatherings of information systems academics and
research-oriented practitioners in the world. The aim of the
conference is to form an inclusive meeting place for people in
the IS field to discuss fundamental and innovative issues in the
field.
